After a very long wait on "stand-by", being an add on and going through OR prep she is FINALLY in for her Tibial Plateau Fracture procedure on her right leg. This is a long and intensive surgery since there is so much movement in the knee area, it needs to be perfect to decrease any chances of long term pain down the road. She has a fracture at the head (top) of her Tibia that will need a few screws and pins to secure it to the outer portion of her Tibia in order for it to be held in place and create stability.
I BELIEVE the operation will be a success!and Rachel will be dancing an irish jig this time next year. Happy new years eve on this wet and windy day.
